Merry Christmas to everyone that celebrates!
Here in Germany, people celebrate Christmas on the 24th of December and open presents in the evening. My family celebrates on the 24th and on the 25th. We open most of the gifts on the evening of the 24th and then a few the next morning.
We usually have a fancy breakfast and my family requested that I make French toast..so French toast it was!
We have “Kaffee und Kuchen” in the afternoon before going to church for the candle light service. “Kaffee und Kuchen” is when the family gets together for coffee, tea, cake and cookies.
My moms poppy seed cake.
Typical German “Lebkuchen”.
And cookies my brother made with the cookie cutter I got from Kat. He loves helping my mom in the kitchen and he loves to decorate cookies!
(And some more Christmas treats that went undocumented.)
We opened gifts after dinner and then watched a movie together.
But Christmas isn't about the presents, the fancy breakfasts or all the Christmas treats…its about Jesus Christ. He came down to us to save us from our sins.

Spending time with my family is always fun and I’m so lucky to have them in my life.
How does your family celebrate Christmas? If you don’t celebrate Christmas, what holiday do you celebrate?
Merry Christmas, lovely!
ReplyDeleteAll of your treats look absolutely delicious. And french toast for breakfast is perfect! We usually celebrate Christmas day at home, but this morning we're traveling back from my grandparents house, THEN celebrating. Oh well!
