I’m finally jumping on the Friday Favorites bandwagon and am going to share five foodie favorites from this week!
1.) Oatmeal to warm me up on cold mornings.
2.) Getting my daily dose of dark chocolate.
3.) Adding a scoop or two of Madre Labs Eureka! Berries to a smoothie or some yogurt.
4.) Eating a big yogurt mess while reading blogs.
5.) Drinking a smoothie after a good workout.

ReplyDeleteThis week I've been eating huge bowls of soup for lunch. It's been quite cold here, and nothing is more comforting than warm broth packed with lots of veggies and topped with cheese!

I always read/watch TV while I eat (I prefer reading, though). I like my oats cold, though...and I don't usually eat while reading blogs, but rather afterwards, because otherwise I'd make a mess of my laptop! The yogurt mess looks nomnomnom!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, I have had daily milk chocolate, but no dark chocolate in ages - sad, because I prefer dark chocolate! Must break the trend. :P
Five faves:
1) Bread with peanut butter and honey (so psyched to get home for PB!)
2) Yogurt messes
3) Ice cream with lots of toppings
4) Sundried tomatoes
5) Apples
And a non-food, but food-related, fave: NaNeFoMo! :) There will definitely be all-natural (American) peanut butter in the care package...if you win, there will be several jars. Join me! ;) Why is German PB just not up to snuff???

ReplyDeleteMy five foodie faves this week-- pumpkin overnight oats, sunbutter on sweet potatoes, experimenting with my blender, grilled asparagus, and peanut butter on egg whites...weird combo but so good!!
weird! i just realize i barely ever eat while reading blogs!!! :) but i like eating while doing things instead of just eating. i get bored just eating sometimes haha!

2) raw celery (munch munch)
3) corn cakes with nut butter
4) hot chocolate
5) melon
smoothies after a workout are the best :) my 5 fav foods this week would have to be:

Shakes after a workout are the besttt! Always great to put some energy back in me. Oh and I really wish I had a big box of chocolate right now.. haha

ReplyDeleteYum! Oatmeal is the perfect way to warm up during the cold-weather months. I've been enjoying it almost every morning this week! And your smoothie looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteI usually watch TV while I eat and sometimes I'll be on the computer (but that's not too often). But, I rarely just sit and eat, unless I'm with someone else. :)
You make the simplest things look SO delicious! And I KNOW those chocolates have to be amazing!! Any chocolate wrapped in shiny gold wrappers has to be. :)

I love refuelling with a full meal after a workout! Or, if that's not possible, chocolate milk.
I think this week, my favorites are oatmeal, eggplant, yummy proteins, goat cheese, and lower-cal adult beverages ahaha. I usually refuel with a smoothie or something light while I wait for my appetite to roar back to life.

YUM!! Oatmeal and smoothies and cereal and yogurt are definitely my all-time favorites. And yes, I definitely eat while reading blogs or going online - strange, but I need something to distract me while I'm eating, be it people or reading material! in school I used to study and eat at the same time....it definitely makes the studying a bit more bearable and gives you a bit more study time lol.

ReplyDeletePost workout nutrition is SUPER hard for me. Im usually NEVER hungry, and now that its winter, Im really not a fan of yogurt messes! That used to be my go to post workout snack.
