Happy Easter everyone! I hope you all have a great and blessed rest of the weekend. I’m spending Easter with family and we’re about to head out so this is going to be a quick post.
I planned on posting yesterday but my computer broke. Perfect timing, right? I wanted to update you all on a few things..
Lets back up to Friday, shall we? Early Friday morning my family and I drove to my aunt and uncle’s house. They’re moving so we helped them pack and clean. Since I was on my feet the whole day, my eats were very random.
One of the many snacks I had on Friday was a Chocolate Chunk LUNA Bar, it was delicious!
We got home late at night. One good thing about being so exhausted is that you sleep very well. After a good nights sleep, my mom and I woke up early on Saturday morning and ran some errands. Once we got home we cleaned the house and welcomed a new family member!
If you follow me on Twitter, then you already know that we got a dog yesterday! Her name is Eva and she is so adorable. She is only one year old but is potty trained and listens to commands.
She used to live in a bad animal shelter in Greece. An organisation helped us rescue her. She’s already made herself at home and it’s like she’s always lived with us. Cute!
The rest of the Saturday was spent playing with Eva, baking for Easter and grocery shopping. Today my other aunt came over with her dog and we all went on a nice walk. Then we enjoyed a lovely Easter brunch together.
I just finished eating lunch and am now typing up this post. For lunch I had a slice of homemade pizza topped with chicken breast, peas and more chicken breast on the side.

I’ve been having computer troubles so I have to write this post from my mom’s computer. It’s really frustrating because I’m not sure when it’ll be fixed and I’ll probably lose all my files and pictures. Thank goodness I have a dad and brother that are awesome with computers. :)
I had a giveaway post planned for today but since all the pictures etc. are on my computer, I cant. It will hopefully be posted sometime this week, though. So stay tuned!
How has your weekend been? Do you and your family have an special Easter traditions? Do you have any pets?

You're new family member is so cute! You mentioned she's from a shelter in Greece, so what language is she trained in?
ReplyDeleteEven though my mom is an assistant pastor, we are so non-traditional. We tend to think of themes for our holiday meals, but since we just moved and are still unpacking and doing lots of yard work we didn't do much other than church & relax. I did make some delicious matzah soup though :)
Thanks, Rachelle! We arent sure what language she was trained in. She understands German and English comands, though. :)
DeleteHope you had a great (and not too stressful!) Easter weekend!
I love your new dog Shannon! What breed is she? I have a Brittany who I love to bits.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Karina! :)
DeleteWe're not sure what breed she is.. but we do know that she is a mix. She was rescued from Greece so we cant really find out either..
ohmygosh, your puppy is TOO cute for words. I want to cuddle her!

Happy Easter Shannon! I have 4 cats :p, but I would DIE to have a puppy (well, not literally, but you know). Eva is adorable!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, she is precious! Congratulations on the new addition to your family. I'm so jealous. I'm still working on figuring out my dog situation. I want one SO badly but since my apartment building doesn't necessarily allow dogs, it's tricky. ):

I've never tried the McVites flapjacks before. I'll have to look them up on google. ;)
Aww Eva is adorable!! I'm sorry about the computer problems - that's the worst!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE chocolate chunk Luna bars. The pizza seems super yummy too. I have been trying to counter the disastrous calorie/fat count that can be a part of a pizza by making my own as well and stacking them high with all kinds of veggies. Sounds like you had a lovely family filled weekend. Hope your computer is fixed up soon!
ReplyDeleteeva is adorable!! that's so exciting that you got a dog!
ReplyDeleteOh how exciting! Eva is such a cutey! Congrats on the new family member. I bet she's going to be loads of fun!
