A New Chapter In Life

This Summer I’ve spent a lot of time with friends that have visited from the US. It meant the world to me that they came to see me! The reason I was absent from blogging most of my Summer break is because I was busy with them and I didn’t want to let anything get in the way of my time with them.

Now I have a week left before I go back to school. I’ve been doing lots of thinking about what I want to do and what I want to work towards. I have so many goals and am so excited to get things started!

I’m going to be focusing on graphic design, media management and marketing. There are so many great things happening and I have a lot of fun projects that are still in the works. I’m so thankful for each and every one of you. Thanks to you Healthiful Balance will continue to grow!

This is a new chapter in my life. I’m not letting an eating disorder or food control me anymore, I feel completely free from all ED thoughts and feelings. It’s been a long, hard road to get where I am now, but It’s made me so much stronger! I am ready to take on whatever is around the corner!

I haven't shared my eats on here in a long time and a lot of you were interested in what I’ve been eating, so here are some recent eats:

CIMG8389Recent Lunch: Rye spaghetti with tomato sauce and a hard boiled egg.

CIMG8385Recent Breakfast: Yogurt with peanut butter and honey, two pieces of bread with a chocolate spread x2.

CIMG8396Recent Snack: Andechser Nature yogurt.. with stevia! I recently tried this for the first time and loved it! I will be buying more.

CIMG8264Recent Breakfast: Alnatura Dinkle Gepufft with milk. x2 of course, because I can not eat just one bowl of cereal.

CIMG8123Recent Dinner: American Mac N’ Cheese! A friend of mine brought some from America and I loved every bite. I remember eating this at sleepovers. :) Not the healthiest.. but it’s good!

CIMG7984Recent Lunch: Mini homemade pizza! I ate the whole thing.. delish!

CIMG8008Recent Breakfast: Scrambled eggs (1 egg, two egg whites, spices and cheese), two pieces of bread with PB and strawberry jam.

Be sure to follow me on Twitter and Facebook for updates, recent eats and more pictures! :)

What are some of your goals? What have you been up to this Summer? Are you a fan of Mac N’ Cheese?

  2. Wow, your school starts early! That is so exciting that you've decided to go into graphic design. I'm a designer and I love every part of it. Using your talent for your job is one of the best things ever--my days rarely feel like work at all!

Glad to hear that you had fun with your American friends! What state did you live in before you moved to Germany?

  12. I'm so happy that you've enjoyed such a wonderful summer with your friends, Shannon! That's what life is really about; family, friendships and engaging with the real world! I feel so blessed to be part of the blogging world, but feel we all need to be careful about letting it consume too much of our time. I really admire you for choosing to spend quality time with your friends! <3 It also sounds like you have so many exciting adventures ahead; I look forward to reading about them!

Look at that stevia-sweetened yogurt! Germany is ahead of the U.S. in that game; I have yet to see it any stores here!

I'm sending hugs across the pond! xoxo <3
